
I often thing that painters art similar to monks who practice asceticism. They both have to undertake a long walk toward a set destiny,
involving deep introspection and reflecting on their past path. Thus, paintings art expressions of one’s ego and confessions.
Only through alternating progression and regression, and honest self-criticism and confession, would a painter be able to get closer to
the true soul of an accomplished artist…
